Alicia Taylor
As a student intern clinical mental health counselor, I’m dedicated to helping people overcome body shame and embrace a life grounded in self-love and self-compassion. I believe that each person has the power to define their own values, beauty, and purpose—no matter what society or culture dictates.
With over 20 years as a hairstylist and experience as a speech and language technician, I’ve always been drawn to connecting with others. From an early age, I felt a deep empathy for others’ journeys and valued the importance of open, honest conversations. I work hard to be a safe, supportive space for people to share their innermost thoughts and emotions, holding them with love, understanding, and compassion. I’ve experienced firsthand the profound impact of therapy, support groups, and the courage to open up to trusted people in my life. This personal journey inspired me to follow the intuitive path of becoming a counselor, where I find genuine satisfaction and hope.
Outside my work, I’m a proud mom of four amazing kids, wife to an incredible husband, and pet parent to two dogs and a tortoise. I recharge in nature—whether in the mountains or by the ocean—and am a firm believer in the restorative power of a good nap.
